Vipin Gupta, a 37-year-old tech professional who had been missing from Bengaluru since August 4, was found by Uttar Pradesh Police in a Noida mall on August 16. Despite being located, Gupta refused to return home, stating, "You put me in prison, I will live there...but I won't return," as reported by The Times of India. He was traced after activating a new SIM card in Noida, revealing his location. Gupta, who had altered his appearance by shaving his head, cited severe domestic issues, particularly his wife's "controlling" behaviour, as the reason for his disappearance. He described facing constant criticism and restrictions on his personal freedom, which led him to flee. Since going missing, Gupta has travelled through several cities, including Tirupati, Bhubaneswar, Delhi, and Noida. His wife, Sriparna Dutta, who had actively pleaded for help on social media, had expressed concerns for his safety and emphasised that Gupta would never willingly abandon his family. Vipin Gupta Disappearance: Techie Goes Missing in Bengaluru, Wife Pleads for Help on Social Media (See Pics and Video).
