In a deeply distressing incident highlighting passenger safety concerns, a young woman claimed that she was s*xually harassed by a Rapido rider named Anish Kumar Raut during a commute to her home from work. The young woman in a post on Instagram detailed how the rider touched her inappropriately multiple times throughout the trip, forcing her to lean precariously off the scooter to avoid contact while she recorded the misconduct on her phone. "He was also asking personal questions like where I live, whether I stay alone or in shared accommodation, and where I work, which made me feel even more unsafe. I was scared and shocked because something like this has never happened to me in the past of using such services, and because of that fear and confusion, I could not react immediately," the woman's post read. She further said that the whole experience made her feel extremely unsafe and disturbed. "I am sharing this so that people, especially women, stay aware and cautious. No one should have to experience this," she added.
