13-Year-Old Nishiya Momiji Becomes First Women’s Olympic Skateboarding Champion, Clinches Gold at Tokyo Games 2020
Momiji Nishiya, 13, became one of the youngest gold medalists at the Tokyo Olympic Games 2020. She also became the first female Olympic skateboarding champion. Nishiya finished with a score of 15.26, to claim the gold. Brazil's Rayssa Leal earned silver with a score of 14.64 while Japan’s Funa Nakayama took the bronze medal with 14.49.
