One of the top candidates for the medal in the powerlifting category, Ashok failed to lift his third attempt and finished with 199 as his best effort at the Paris Paralympics 2024 Men’s 65 Kg Powerlifting event. The athlete started well with a 197 Kg lift and bettered the weight with a 199 Kg lift. But to win a medal Ashok went for 200+ Kg weight and failed to hold on to the same. With this, his best effort was recorded at 199 Kg which was the sixth best effort in the Paris Paralympics 2024 competition in Men’s 65 Kg Powerlifting category.
