The Taiwan boxer beat Staneva 5-0 in the quarterfinal to move to the semifinal and is assured of a medal. After the match, Staneva did not shake hands with Yu Ting and also made the 'X' gesture, which many have said is to denote that she has 'XX' (female) chromosomes.
