The Indian women's cricket team beat their South African counterparts by just four runs to win the 2nd ODI in Bengaluru on Wednesday, June 19. Batting first, India scored 325/3, riding on centuries from Smriti Mandhana (136) and Harmanpreet Kaur (103*). And South Africa put up a great fight in chasing down this total with skipper Laura Wolvaardt and Marizanne Kapp scoring centuries. For India, Pooja Vastrakar did well to defend 11 runs off the last over, where she also took two wickets. Deepti Sharma took two wickets each, while Arundhati Reddy and Smriti Mandhana took one wicket apiece. With this, India have a 2-0 lead in the three-match series. The third and final ODI of the series will be played on Sunday, June 23.
