The Lucknow Super Giants captain probably did not hear his Rajasthan Royals' counterpart Sanju Samson calling 'heads' when the coin was flipped. Samson won the toss and chose to bowl first.
There was a bit of confusion at the toss ahead of the Lucknow Super Giants vs Rajasthan Royals match in IPL 2024 on April 27. Sanju Samson, the Rajasthan Royals captain, called 'heads' on the mic as Rahul, his Lucknow Super Giants compatriot, flipped the coin. It turned out that Samson had called it right as it was heads. However, Rahul thought he won the toss probably because he did not hear Samson's call and walked up to Ian Bishop, who was conducting the toss, to talk. He was later informed that Samson won and he was seen asking the RR skipper, "What did you call?" Bowled!
