Sri Lankan cricketer Prabath Jayasuriya produced a brilliant delivery during the SL vs NZ 2nd Test 2024 to dismiss New Zealand batsman Ajaz Patel. On the third ball of the 79th over, Ajaz bowled an outside off-stump delivery which turned into the batsman and went down to hit the stumps. The ball was probably the recreation of former Australian bowler Shane Warne's 'ball of the century' which dismissed former England batsman Mike Gatting. Sri Lanka at the end won the match by an innings and 154 runs. Kamindu Mendis was named as the Player of the Match as he played an unbeaten innings of 184 runs.
