Puja Held At RCB's Home Venue M Chinnaswamy Stadium Ahead of IPL 2026
The main reason behind the puja was to prevent any ill event, as this would be the first tournament that would be played at Chinnaswamy after the stampede last year, where 11 fans lost their lives in an unfortunate incident.
A special puja was held at RCB's home venue, M Chinnaswamy Stadium, ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. The puja was performed by as many as five priests, who performed Ganahoma, with pujas taking place inside the stadium and on all five gates of the premises. The main reason behind the puja was to prevent any ill event, as this would be the first tournament that would be played at Chinnaswamy after the stampede last year, where 11 fans lost their lives in an unfortunate incident. After much deliberation, the state government permitted KCSA to host IPL matches at the venue, which had been blacklisted by BCCI for a brief period. RCB kick off their IPL 2026 campaign on March 28 at home against Southern rivals Sunrisers Hyderabad. Ricky Ponting Participates in Puja Ahead of IPL 2026 Along With Punjab Kings Players.
