West Indies kept the fight on and they were able to score 149 runs in 20 overs by batting first. Sherfane Rutherford came up with a special innings as he scored 68 runs in just 39 balls. New Zealand in response lost quite a few wickets back to back and were restricted to 136 runs in 20 overs.
