'Do I Deserve the Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award?' Manu Bhaker Attracts Criticism from Fans After Her Post Goes Viral, Paris Olympics 2024 Double Bronze Medallist Deletes it Later
The young shooter had made history at the Paris Olympics 2024 by winning two bronze medals. Manu Bhaker recently had also shared a post about pursuing higher education.
Manu Bhaker attracted a host of criticism from fans after she asked fans if she deserved to win the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna award. The 22-year-old had scripted history in Paris by becoming the first Indian woman to win two medals in a single edition of the Olympic Games when she won bronze medals in the Women's 10m air pistol and the mixed team 10m air pistol events at the Paris Olympics 2024. Taking to 'X', the double bronze medal winner, in a now-deleted post, wrote, "Tell me, do I deserve the Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna award? Thank you?" However, her fans did not take this post too kindly and criticised her. While some fans wondered why she made such a post, others called out her PR (Public Relations) team, stating that the admin of her 'X' account should be removed. See some reactions below. 'Let's Be Mature'
She has realised her mistake, has deleted the post. There is no point trolling her like this. And there is no doubt she has brought laurels to the country and deserves an award. But she couldnt have probably asked for it. Let's be mature and Pardon her.
