One of Indian football's greatest-ever servants and an absolute titan, Sunil Chhetri, turns 40 today. Chhetri has had a long career for the Indian football team, having made his international debut in 2005. The star forward went on to represent the Blue Tigers in 151 matches where he scored 94 goals. Earlier this year, he retired from international football after India's FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifying match against Kuwait. A teary-eyed Chhetri was given a guard of honour by his teammates as he walked off the field for one final time in international football.
