A controversy unfolded on the Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur when Indian Football Team took on Malaysia in the Merdeka Tournament 2023 semifinal. India were not happy with the refereeing decisions since the start of the match and thing escalated when referee disallowed India's goal when the score was 3-2 as the linesman suggested him that the ball didn't cross the goal line.
