India achieved its best-ever medal tally at the Asian Para Games, with a total of 73 medals and counting. With this, India has surpassed its previous best medal haul at the Para Asiad, which was 72, achieved in 2018. The Indian para-athletes have had a great time in Hangzhou so far and this medal tally is only expected to increase from here on. India also broke its record for winning the most gold medals in a single edition of the Asian Para Games after Sachin Sarjerao Khilari won the top prize in the men's shot put F46 event.
