Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Parneet Kaur and Aditi Gopichand Swami Win Gold Medal in Archery Women’s Compound Team Event at Asian Games 2023
The trio defeated Chinese Taipei to win India a 19th gold medal in the Asian Games 2023. This was also Jyothi Surekha Vennam's second gold medal in this Asiad.
India's medal tally at Asian Games 2023 continued to increase with the trio of Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Parneet Kaur and Aditi Gopichand Swami winning the gold medal in archery women's compound team event on October 5. The trio beat Chinese Taipei 230-229 in a close contest to clinch the top prize on offer in this event. It was also the 19th gold medal for India in this edition of the Asian Games.
