After brilliant gameplay, Kapil Parmar won a bronze medal in the Men's 60 Kg J1 Event at the Paris Paralympics 2024. This is India's first medal in the said event.
It was a match-up between the top two seeded Para-Judo athletes for the bronze medal with World number 1 Kapil Parmar taking on World number 2 Elielton de Oliveira. The Brazilian hadn’t dropped a point in the contest so far but in split seconds the star Indian won the match by IPPON. He won the bronze medal taking India’s tally to 25 Medals at the Paris Paralympics 2024.
