Elon Musk reacted to a post shared by X user DogeDesigner (@cb_doge) on July 24, questioning whether WhatsApp app reads user's messages. The post highlighted a WhatsApp chat where an app was mentioned, and soon after, an advertisement for that app appeared on the user's Instagram feed. The X user (@cb_doge) then raised a question stating, “WhatsApp claims that chats are end-to-end encrypted, but are they really?” The user further highlights that the app was not previously searched on the phone or browser nor on Google and was only mentioned in WhatsApp chat and during a call, to which Elon Musk responded and said, "I wouldn’t trust WhatsApp at all."
