Notably, Claudia Goldin was awarded the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences "for having advanced our understanding of women’s labour market outcomes." The Economics Award, which was established in 1968, is formally known as the Bank of Sweden Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel.
