England’s wicket-keeper batsman Jos Buttler celebrates his 29th birthday on Sunday. Born on September 8, 1990, the right-handed batsman is arguably the best finisher at the moment and has toiled many great bowling line-ups in his career. In the first ODI of England’s 2016 tour of South Africa, Jos Buttler played a gem of an innings and notched up a brilliant century. After being promoted to no. 4, Buttler showed great responsibility and built his innings very smartly. Buttler’s master class guided England to a massive score of 399 in the first innings which proved to be too much for the proteas as the hosts lost the match by 39 runs.

The veteran’s another masterclass came in the third ODI of Pakistan’s 2016 tour of Sri Lanka. Buttler missed his century by 10 runs but guided England to the highest ever ODI total i.e. 444. Buttler is currently participating in the fourth Ashes 2019 Test and England will expect the batsman to play some more explosive knocks and guide England to the Ashes urn.
