STUMPS on Day 2! It has been another action-packed day at the Lord's Cricket Ground with India trailing England by 242 runs. KL Rahul has looked absolutely solid out there in the middle with an unbeaten 53 and he and Rishabh Pant (19*) were at the crease at the close of play. England on the other hand, have had three wicket-takers with them being Ben Stokes (1/16), Jofra Archer (1/22) and Chris Woakes (1/56). Earlier on Day 2, it was Joe Root who struck his 37th Test century. He struck a four off the first ball of the day to get to the landmark but the immediate period after that was dominated by India, more specifically Jasprit Bumrah who scalped three wickets in quick time. At first, he castled Ben Stokes (44) and later dismissed Joe Root (104) and Chris Woakes (0) off consecutive deliveries. Jasprit Bumrah completed his five-wicket haul by dismissing Jofra Archer (4) and he finished with figures of 5/74, getting his name into the Lord's Honours Board for the very first time in his career.

OUT! Joe Root has taken an absolute stunner as Ben Stokes accounts for Karun Nair! The right-handed Karun Nair got an edge and Joe Root, at first slip, got his left hand down right in time to collect the ball inches above the ground. The third umpire checked the catch and found it to be legitimate.
