NZ Win by 7 Wickets | India vs New Zealand Live Score Updates of 2nd ODI 2026: Daryl Mitchell's 131 Helps Blackcaps Level Series 1-1

Daryl Mitchell and Glenn Phillips have driven New Zealand past the finish line to win the IND vs NZ 2nd ODI 2026, and thus level the three-match series 1-1. Mitchell and Phillips added 78 runs for the fourth wicket, while remaining unbeaten on 131 and 32, respectively. India's bowlers, in particular Kuldeep Yadav, failed to get hold of their line and length. The series decider will be played in Indore on Sunday. 

This has been a dominant show by New Zealand, thanks to a brilliant hundred by Daryl Mitchell and a solid 87 by Will Young. Mitchell and Glenn Phillips have added 44 off 36, and New Zealand need 33 off 36 to win, and level the series 1-1. India needs to pick wickets in heaps if they want to win the contest from hereon.

The Kiwi all-rounder reached his 100 off 96 balls, which included seven fours and two sixes. Meanwhile, New Zealand need almost run-a-ball to win. 

OUT! Kuldeep Yadav finally gets a wicket, and Will Young has to walk back, falling 13 short of his maiden international ton against India. India will need to pick wickets, or else New Zealand could very well run with the contest. 

As usual, Daryl Mitchell is standing tall against India and has managed to steady the Blackcaps' ship. Mitchell, along with Will Young, has added 30-odd runs in quick time after Indian bowlers claimed Devon Conway and Henry Nicholls wickets.

Harshit Rana and Mohammed Siraj have been brilliant thus far; both Indian pacers have barely given an inch to the Kiwi batters. Henry Nicholls and Will Young have managed to survive a probing spell.

Henry Nicholls and Devon Conway will open for New Zealand, and will hope to provide the Blackcaps a steady start once again. India will bank on Mohammed Siraj and Co to make use of the new-ball, which created trouble in the first innings. 

A brilliant ODI hundred from KL Rahul sees India make 284 for 7 despite the Men in Blue suffering a collapse after a solid start. Rahul remained unbeaten on 112, which included 11 fours and one six, while Mohammed Siraj scored 2 off 3 in an eighth-wicket stand of 28.

KL Rahul and Nitish Kumar Reddy have added fifty-odd runs in no time, enabling India to reach the 300-run mark. Rahul is moving towards his sixth ODI ton, and while Reddy is slowly getting into the T20 groove. 

200 up for India, thanks to a timely half-century from KL Rahul. Rahul reached his half-century in 52 balls, laced with six fours, and has been a wall at one-end of the wicket. Nitish Kumar Reddy has joined Rahul in the middle and will hope to showcase his explosive best. 

OUT! Just as India were looking to up the ante, Michael Bracewell has managed to stop their charge, dismissing all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja.
