Safyaan Sharif says he's excited to make a contribution. Adds that getting early wickets was the key so is happy he was able to do that. Mentions that they knew it's important to do the basics, which is partly the reason why he was able to get Chris Gayle on the very first ball of the game. States it's a great achievement for his side for putting in the kind of performance they did out on the field.

The Windies will be terribly disappointed with the way they have done with the bat. Their most important game of the competition, with the World Cup qualification on the line, and they've let themselves down. The only thing worth talking about is the 121-run partnership between Evin Lewis and Marlon Samuels (both of whom scored fifties each). Despite that stand, the scoring rate was always in check and as a result, when the wickets fell, it hurt them badly. They will have to bowl out of their skins to make something out of this. Excellent performance from the Scots with the ball. Kyle Coetzer's decision to field first has been completely justified by his bowlers. They started off in the most perfect manner, as Safyaan Sharif got Chris Gayle on the very first ball of the game, and then picked up another one to get Shai Hope. There was a big stand in between between Evin Lewis and Marlon Samuels, but they made sure they got them before they could accelerate and take the game away from them. After that stand, wickets fell at regular intervals with the spinners playing their part and ensuring the Windies didn't even reach the 200-mark.

We are now into the business end of the qualifiers with only three games left before the final. The race for securing a World Cup spot intensifies as Scotland face the Windies today in Harare. A potential semi-final as the loser today will see themselves being knocked out. The men from the Caribbean head into this fixture as big favourites but one cannot rule the Scottish out, especially after the cricket they have played throughout.
