India vs South Africa Highlights And Cricket Score 3rd Match - T20I Commentary

End of Over : 20.0 IND: 134/9

Now, 135 runs and India will have to share the trophy. If the Protea bowlers can stop run-scoring and take wickets, the Indians can do so too. Will they be able to do so or the South Africans will manage to chase it down with responsible batting? Join us in a while for the run chase.

Hendricks is in for a little chat. He says that the wicket did assist him and he tried to extract what was possible. States there was swing in the air and he had to asses the conditions and he is happy he did well. Admits they were struggling in the beginning but they did well to pull things back and they should chase this total down. Further adds he tried to be consistent, he has been a little off his game in the recent past but he is looking to improve with each and every game.

The visitors, after a poor start, did well to pull things back. Beuran Hendricks was the star for them as he picked up two wickets and was very economical. He got very good support from Bjorn Fortuin who got two wickets. Phehlukwayo and Shamsi were excellent as well as they made sure easy runs were never on offer. Rabada too ended with good figures, not to forget, he went for 17 in his first over but then did brilliantly well to pull things back.

After the wicket of Rohit in the third over of the innings, Dhawan and Kohli added 42 runs at a quick pace. However, after that, the Indians kept losing wickets at regular intervals and could never get going. Kohli played an un-Kohli shot to get out while Rishabh Pant got out the way he does. The middle order of the hosts imploded and the run scoring became tough. Jadeja and Hardik hung around for a while but they could not get the timings right to their shot and could only manage a few runs here and there.

The visitors will be mighty pleased with their bowling performance. They have held India to 134 runs which is a way below par total at M.Chinnaswamy.

19.6 1

Kagiso Rabada to Navdeep Saini. A bye to end! A top class last over by Rabada. Just the 6 runs and three wickets from it. Saini makes room and Rabada follows him with a shortish ball. Saini looks to cut but misses. The keeper collects the ball and underarms it at his end but misses. INDIA END WITH 134/9!

Navdeep Saini is the last batsman for the hosts.

19.5 W

Kagiso Rabada to Hardik Pandya. OUT! Pandya is a goner! He though had hit that so hard. The ball literally took the fielder off his feet as he caught it. He was well inside the ropes though. This is full and on middle, Pandya smashes it but hits it flat towards long on. Miller there takes it but falls over as he does so. Pandya's uncomfortable stay comes to an end.

Deepak Chahar is the new man in.

19.5 W

Kagiso Rabada to Washington Sundar. OUT! RUN OUT! Sundar has sacrificed his wicket here. A short one down the leg side. Sundar swings but misses. Pandya looks to steal a bye. 19.4 4

Bjorn Fortuin to Shreyas Iyer. OUT! STUMPED OF A WIDE! Celebrates by pointing towards his head so either this might have been a plan or he might have seen the batter coming down the track. Shreyas Iyer is in now! With skipper gone, he needs to play an important knock now.

This is angled into the batter, it is slightly fuller. Kohli whips it up in the air towards the deep mid-wicket region. Andile Phehlukwayo runs to his left and takes it brilliantly just before the ropes. He keeps his balance too. A much-needed wicket for Rabada. Adds that result will be priority, but the side wants to come out of their comfort zone. Also mentions that they would like to put their bowlers under pressure too. Gavaskar points that dew could be a factor and batting second will be a better idea.

Hello and a warm welcome to the coverage of the third and final T20I between India and South Africa! The hosts dominated the second T20I and did not even give the Proteas a sniff to have any chance to win the game. Virat Kohli led from the front with a brilliant innings and would look to do the same here. The bowlers were excellent and restricted South Africa to a paltry total. The visitors, on the other hand, were pretty poor in all the departments of the game and have to improve to have any chance to beat this strong Indian team. What will it be? India win or a Proteas fightback!

End of Over : 16.5 SA: 140/1

Right then. A washout in the first game. An Indian domination in the second. It was all about the visitors in the third as they manage to pull off an excellent will to level the three match T20I series. The two sides now will face off in the longer format of the game. The first one of the three Tests begins on October 2, 2019 at 0930 Local (0400 GMT). Join us for that game. Till then, take care!

On the bowlers who took the pace off the ball, de Kock says that Hendricks read the conditions well and used the slower one well. De Kock says that their fielding was really good too and they were very focused.

Time for the Indian skipper now. On his decision of batting first, Kohli starts by saying that going into the T20 World Cup, they will continue to make decisions like that. Adds that the team is willing to do the hard work and that is good things. Praises the South African bowlers and adds that they lost the control of the game and never get it back. Kohli says that chasing has been become easier but only in T20 cricket as just a small partnership can help you win the game. He says that defending even 200 will be tougher if there is just a couple of good stands. On team selections, Kohli says that whosoever is playing the matches for the side have done well excellent work in the domestic arena. Adds that they would continue backing the youngsters and wants to give enough time to the young side.

Man of the match goes to Beuran Hendricks for his excellent bowling performance. On his bowling performances in both the games, Hendricks says that things worked well for him. Further adds he does not have the power like Gayle but his job is to keep the scoreboard ticking. On the six he hit in Mohali, he replies that he surprised himself and realized he can hit the ball a long way. Ends by saying they will get a lot of confidence after this win and it is important as there is a Test series coming up which is not going to be easy.

The Indian bowlers can't be blamed a lot as they did not have a lot to defend. They still could have been a lot better with their lines and lengths. In the end, you have to say, the Indians were outplayed in every department tonight. Stay tuned for the presentation in a while. Before that, Bavuma is giving an interview.

In the run chase, the South African openers, Quinton de Kock and Reeza Hendricks did an excellent job by adding 76 runs. They were helped by the Indian bowlers who were extremely poor. Every bowler, even the spinners were extremely short which made it easy for the batters to score the runs. Reeza Hendricks did fall after getting a start but de Kock continued and Bavuma also fulfilled his role. The two added another important stand and took their side over the line. De Kock looked absolutely fluent throughout the innings and apart from that missed review chance by the Indians, he did not offer any opening.

A comprehensive win for the South Africans. An excellent performance in a must-win game from them. Also, this is de Kock's first win as T20I skipper and he has played an integral part in it. However, a lot of credit has to be given to their bowlers as they set up the game for them. Brilliant efforts from Hendricks, who was brought into the team for this game, the two spinners and Rabada ensured they keep India to a total which was under par.
