That's It! South Africa officially confirm their place as the fourth semifinal of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 although their opposition and venue are yet to be confirmed. The bowlers did the job upfront by bowling out England for a low score and then the batters eased the Proteas to another victory. South Africa finish as toppers of Group B. 

Out! Heinrich Klaasen wanted to finish the job off in style with a big hit but it was not to be. Gets an outside edge and the ball lobs off to the hand off short third man. South Africa are only six runs away from victory. Klaasen c Saqib Mahmood b Adil Rashid 64(56).

Nothing working for England for now. They have tried pace and spin but runs are now flowing for South Africa. Both Heinrich Klaasen and Rassie van der Dussen are well set and have brought up their half-centuries in style. 

After the first two wickets, the South African middle order batters have not let any wicket fall as they have batted cautiously and also kept the scorecard ticking as well. Both Rassie van der Dussen and Heinrich Klaasen have not conceded any chances. 

Out! Jofra Archer strikes again. Ryan Rickelton plays the line of the delivery from Archer but it straightens a touch to beat his outside edge and crash on the stumps. England still stay alive in the game.  Rickelton b Jofra Archer 27(25).

Out! Tristan Stubbs' struggles continue. He got an opportunity to prove himself with Temba Bavuma injured but he is now dismissed for a duck. Jofra Archer brings one in and Stubbs play downs it on his stumps. Good ball from Jofra and Stubbs will be disappointed. Stubbs b Jofra Archer 0(5).

Aiden Markram - stand-in South Africa captain against England in the absence of Temba Bavuma - left the field due to discomfort in his hamstring. Heinrich Klaasen took reins of the side in his absence. The information was relayed via the commentators on the broadcast feed. Markram had taken over from regular skipper Bavuma for the game, who missed out due to an illness. The extent of Markram's injury concern is not fully known

Out! That's It! The England innings ends here. Wiaan Mulder gets his third. Gets one to nip away from the batter Adil Rashid and he gets a faint nick at that. Out! The last resistance falls for England. Jos Buttler was showing some resistance amid the collapse but immediately after Jofra Archer departed Buttler too chipped a change of pace delivery from Ngidi in the hands of Keshav Maharaj at mid-off. Out! Soft dismissal for Jofra Archer. Wiaan Mulder tempts him with a short pitched ball and Archer pulls it straight to the hands of Marco Jansen at short mid-wicket. England keep fighting led by their captain Jos Buttler. They have the survival mode on and are delaying the inevitable as long as possible. Jofra Archer has played some shots and Jos Buttler has tried to take the innings as deep as possible. South Africa know they are ahead here and will look to end the England innings soom. 

Out! South Africa have been impeccable on the field and they show one more display as Lungi Ngidi takes an absolute screamer to dismiss Jamie Overton. Overton tried to loft Kagiso Rabada over the head of Ngidi at mid-on but Ngidi kept his eyes on the ball and in the end managed to hold on to it. Out! Another one bites the dust and it is Liam Livingstone. Tries to jump out to a tossed out delivery from Keshav Maharaj but yorks himself and Heinrich Klaasen doesn't take much time to knock the bails off. England are in deep trouble here. Livingstone st Klaasen b Maharaj 9(15).

Out! Cleaned up and it is well-set Joe Root. South Africa have two in two overs now and both England's well-set batters are out. England are looking at another defeat now. Wiaan Mulder uses a wobble seamer to nip back a little and Root ends up playing all around it. South Africa comfortably on top here. Root b Mulder 37(44).

Out! Harry Brook is dismissed and he falls to spin again. The partnership is broken and England is in big trouble now. Brook tries to go for the lofted shot against Keshav Maharaj, doesn't get the whole of it. It seemed like the ball will land safely in the gap but Marco Jansen covered some big grounds to take a stunning sliding catch. Brook c Marco Jansen b Maharaj 19(29).

50 up for England! Three Lions have managed to cross 50-run mark before 10 overs despite losing quick wickets. Harry Brook and Joe Root will look for a strong partnership to stir England to a competitive total.   

Out! Another wicket for Marco Jansen as he clears Ben Duckett. The batter looking  to play his favoured flick shot once again but is early into it this time. Ends up getting a leading edge. Marco Jansen on his follow through does well to steady himself and stretches out both his hands to his left to take a well-judged catch. These catches are not that easy. You have to change your natural direction and ensure that you stay balanced. Ben Duckett c and b Marco Jansen 24 (21).

Even though there are wickets falling around him, opener Ben Duckett has kept his cool and is currently batting sensibly for the England side. Scoring 23 runs he is leading the side at the moment and will look to form a big partnership with captain Joe Root who has just arrived.

After smashing two boundaries Phil Salt signs off the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 tournament with an ordinary batting performance.
