Virat Kohli and men scripted history by defeating Australia by 137 runs at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The series is now led by India by 2-1 and thus Virat Kohli became the first captain to retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy on the Australian soil. Needless to say that the team was overjoyed with the feat and the team decided to celebrate the same with a victory lap. Interestingly, throughout the Test match, there were racist comments hurled at the Indian players and fans. Cricket Australia even issued a warning to the attendees to not hurl racist comments at the players. Jasprit Bumrah walked away with the Man of the Match award for scalping six wickets. “To play Test cricket is a great feeling: be it Boxing Day or any other day. I made my India debut in Australia, so great feeling. I always focus on consistency. When you have so many options, you may get confused. Someday you get wickets, someday another mate will, but we don't think about those,” said Bumrah after the match.
