Yash Thakur's Sensational Grab

Chasing a target of 193 set by India, Zimbabwe suffered a top-order collapse inside the powerplay overs. Coming into the attack in the fourth over, Thakur made an immediate impact by removing Dion Myers, who was caught by Indian captain Shreyas Iyer.

On the very next delivery, Zimbabwean skipper Sikandar Raza walked out to the crease and attempted to push on the on-side but found a leading-edge. The ball lobbed to the bowler's right. Displaying quick reflexes, Thakur stopped in his follow-through, sticking out his right hand to pluck the ball out of thin air and complete a remarkable caught-and-bowled dismissal.

Thakur’s double strike in his opening over reduced Zimbabwe to 38/3, firmly putting the visitors in command. The dismissal of Raza, Zimbabwe's primary middle-order pillar, removed a crucial threat in the run chase.

Earlier in the match, India posted a total of 192/5 after electing to bat first. Young opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi top-scored with a 49-ball 81, supported by contributions from Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer. The Indian pace attack, led by Mayank Yadav and Yash Thakur, capitalised on the scoreboard pressure with early wickets.
