According to the company, the goal is to move AI beyond standalone applications and embed it into everyday digital experiences for its more than 500 million users.
Jio Call Agent: AI Assistant Built Into Phone Calls
One of the key announcements was the Jio Call Agent, an AI assistant integrated directly into the Jio network. The company said the AI assistant joins a conversation only after receiving user consent and can remain active throughout the call.
The service is designed to support multiple Indian languages and offers real-time transcription capabilities. It can identify up to 10 speakers during a conference call and automatically generate transcripts based on conversations.
Real-Time Summaries and Task Management

Jio said the AI assistant will also be capable of completing tasks on behalf of users during calls. Users can ask it to book cabs, order food, reserve restaurant tables or schedule meetings without switching between different applications.
The company plans to roll out the service to its user base later this year.
MyJio App Gets AI Upgrade
Jio also announced a major transformation of the MyJio app, which has traditionally been used for mobile recharges, account management and service-related tasks.
The company said the app will evolve into a personalised AI advisor and relationship manager, allowing users to interact with services through natural language commands rather than navigating menus.
For example, users relocating to a new city can receive assistance with service-related requirements. Travellers heading abroad can get recommendations for international roaming plans and usage alerts. The AI assistant can also help users activate eSIM services and complete self-KYC procedures on compatible devices.
Focus on Privacy and User Consent
Reliance Jio said privacy and user control remain central to both AI offerings. The company emphasised that the AI assistant will only perform actions after obtaining user consent.
According to Jio, all AI-generated actions will be logged, and any transaction involving payments will require explicit approval from the user before it is processed.
The latest announcements underscore Reliance Jio's growing focus on AI-powered consumer services as the company looks to bring artificial intelligence into everyday communication and digital experiences across India.
