After parting ways from Oppo, the Chinese smartphone maker – Realme is constantly making efforts in revolutionize the Indian smartphone market. To take things further, the Chinese phone maker will be introducing a brand new smartphone today under its U-series for the domestic market. To be christened as Realme U1, the company will be launching the new smartphone at an event in New Delhi. The company will also be live streaming the launch event of Realme U1 direct from the venue. The upcoming Realme U1 smartphone could sport a 25MP selfie snapper at the front as the fact the phone is dubbed as India’s SelfiePro smartphone. Moreover, the company will be retailing the smartphone online exclusively via Amazon India. Also, a ‘Notify Page’ of the same is already live of Amazon India. The company has not revealed much details of the smartphone and managed to keep things under wrap. However, the company did reveal some details of the phone, wherein they confirmed that Realme U1 will be powered by MediaTek Helio P70 SoC.
As far as the specifications are concerned, the new Realme U1 smartphone could feature a FHD+ display with a waterdrop-style display with resolution of 2340×1080 pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio. The device will also get a MediaTek Helio P70 chipset, which is an octa-core processor equipped with AI-based features. Another highlight of the upcoming Realme U1 will be a bigger 4230 mAh battery with AI capabilities. Also, the phone will carry 296 facial recognition point for improved selfies. Talking about the prices, the Realme U1 is likely to be priced under the price bracket of Rs 15,000 in the domestic market. Once launched, the new Realme U1 smartphone will take on Nokia 6.1 Plus and Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro in India.
