New Leadership Roles at Temple
Dr Robert Mohr joins as Chief Medical Officer. He is a board-certified physician with nearly two decades of clinical experience. After working in emergency medicine he moved into evidence-based longevity and precision medicine. At Temple he will oversee the clinical quality of experiments and health claims.
Dr Avi Roy joins as Head of Science. An Oxford-trained biomedical scientist, he previously co-founded Founders Health and UDA and served as a research fellow at the University of Oxford’s Centre for the Advancement of Sustainable Medical Innovation.
How the Deal Came About
Goyal met Mohr and Roy at a dinner in London a few months ago. They noticed the Temple device on his forehead and asked about the science behind it. The conversation led them to trial the wearable themselves for about two months.
They worked with Temple’s science team to test the proprietary Entropy metric and the data the device collects. They also reviewed early scientific manuscripts. Their growing involvement made a full-time collaboration the natural next step.
Background on Temple Wearable Device
Temple is developing a small sensor worn on the side of the forehead near the temple. It tracks signals linked to cerebral blood flow, oxygenation and the body’s response to activity, sleep and recovery. Central to the platform is Entropy, a real-time score that the company describes as measuring the metabolic cost of being alive. The startup raised USD 54 million earlier in 2026 at a valuation of around USD 190 million. It has since seen higher internal valuations as it moves towards launch.
