London, March 28: ByteDance has launched its new AI audio and video generation model, Dreamina Seedance 2.0, within its CapCut editing platform in select international markets. The model allows creators to generate, edit, and synchronise video and audio content using prompts, images, or reference clips. The phased rollout covers Brazil, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.
The launch comes after ByteDance addressed concerns over intellectual property, limiting availability to a small number of markets while the company fine-tunes safety and copyright measures. In China, users can access the model via the Jianying app. ByteDance has not yet made the model available in the United States or Europe, citing ongoing intellectual property safeguards and compliance checks.

The model can generate video clips up to 15 seconds long in six aspect ratios, handling realistic textures, lighting, and movement across multiple angles. Creators can use it to:
