Hunter Biden Says He Is ‘48.5% Gay’ in Lighthearted Luke Beasley Podcast Exchange (Video)
Hunter Biden joked that he is 'only a little bit' gay during an August 16 episode of the Luke Beasley Show. Asked to put a percentage on it, Biden said '48.6 percent,' later revising the figure to 47 percent before returning to '48.5 percent gay' near the end of the nearly 90-minute interview.
Hunter Biden, the son of former US President Joe Biden, joked that he is “only a little bit” gay during a recent podcast interview that repeatedly returned to questions about his s*xuality. The 56-year-old made the comments during an August 16 episode of the Luke Beasley Show, where a lighthearted exchange with host Luke Beasley included questions about whether Biden was gay and what percentage he considered himself to be.
Beasley asked Biden, “Are you gay?” early in the interview. Biden replied: “Only a little bit.” When Beasley followed up by asking whether he was “more or less than 50 percent” gay, Biden answered, “48.6 percent.” The conversation later returned to the subject several times, with Biden changing the figure before eventually saying he was back to 48.5 percent. Hunter Biden Responds To Gay Question
Beasley then asked Biden whether he would be the former first son’s “type.” “A little bit more masculine would be my type, if I was gay,” Hunter responded. The host subsequently showed Biden an AI-generated picture depicting the two men in a close embrace, with Biden's left hand on Beasley's waist, New York Post reported.
“If I’m not your type, then why did you embrace me like this? Go ahead, take a look,” Beasley says, handing Hunter the picture. “Oh Jesus Christ, I don’t know. I just, it all is coming back to me,” the former first son joked. “I was in a stupor at that point. I think that was pre-2019 when I got sober,” he quipped, referencing his years of substance abuse.
Hunter Biden Revisits “The Gay Question”
Later in the episode, Biden returned to what he called “the gay question.” “Maybe I take back 48.5” percent. “More like 47 [percent] after that conversation. My gaydom went down a percentage point,” the former president’s son quipped. The topic resurfaced again toward the end of the nearly 90-minute interview.
“I just wanted to let you know that I am back up to 48.5 percent gay.” The remarks were made in the context of a comedic exchange between Biden and Beasley rather than as a formal announcement about Biden's s*xual orientation.
Hunter Biden’s Marriages And Family
Hunter Biden married Melissa Cohen in 2019, six days after they met. The couple have remained married. Biden was previously married to Kathleen Buhle, whom he married in 1993. They share three daughters and divorced in 2017.
His relationship history and family life have been the subject of public attention for years, particularly because of his connection to the Biden family and his father's political career.
The podcast appearance added another personal topic to the public discussion surrounding the former first son, although Biden's comments about his s*xuality were presented as part of the interview's humorous exchange.
