Authorities were attempting to take him into custody as part of an enforcement operation targeting people wanted for s*x-offender registration violations and other s*x offences. The operation at his Missouri home was part of a wider nationwide effort.

Operation Adam’s Watch Targets S*x Offenders

The arrest attempt was conducted as part of Operation Adam’s Watch, a multi-week enforcement operation marking the 20th anniversary of the Adam Walsh Act. The law, signed in 2006, was named after Adam Walsh, a Florida boy who went missing in 1981 and was later found murdered.

The operation has resulted in the arrests of more than 330 fugitives nationwide who were wanted for failing to register as s*x offenders, s*x assault or other s*x offences, according to reports.

Justice Department Says Officials Are Recovering

The Justice Department told FOX TV Stations: "Everyone is doing well and some have a longer road to recovery than others," the Justice Department told FOX TV Stations. "We expect some long-term effects of this incident … but nothing that will keep them from continuing the mission of the USMS."
