Woman Found Dead in Chicago Apartment
Chicago police said officers responded to an apartment in the 4800 block of North Avers Avenue in Albany Park at around 1:48 pm local time on August 9. They found the 32-year-old woman unresponsive with a stab wound to her neck. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Earlier Video Raised Concern
In May, after the woman reportedly left him for the first time, the accused posted a video in Gujarati in which he spoke about contemplating suicide and appealed to relatives to intervene. According to family accounts, the woman later returned after her relationship with the younger man reportedly ended. The reconciliation, however, was short-lived, and she subsequently left again.
Investigation Underway
Family members alleged that the accused contacted his wife on the day of the killing and asked her to take their daughter with her. They claimed the request may have been used to persuade her to come to the apartment. These allegations have not been confirmed by Chicago police. The investigation remains ongoing, while the accused faces the first-degree murder charge in connection with his estranged wife's death.
