Afghanistan: Joe Biden Defends Troop Withdrawal; Taliban Fly Chopper With Man Suspended In Air Above Kandahar

Joe Biden, US President defended his decision to withdraw US troops from Afghanistan. Biden said staying longer was not an option. Biden addressed the nation a day after the end of a 20-year US presence in Afghanistan. The US President praised the troops for organising an airlift of more than 120,000 people wishing to leave. Biden has been widely criticised. Meanwhile, a video of the Taliban parading a helicopter in the skies of Kandahar has gone viral on social media. Several journalists & media outlets have claimed that the video shows the Taliban hanging a person, presumably an American interpreter. However, Alt News reported that if one looks closely at the footage, the rope can be seen attached to the man’s back. Alt News reported that the man was suspended from the helicopter to fix the flag on the governor’s building. Watch the video to know more.
