On February 15, Ashwani Kumar, former union law minister, resigned from the Congress party. Kumar was associated with the Congress party for over four decades. Ashwani Kumar served as Law Minister in the Manmohan Singh-led Congress government between 2009 and 2014. Ashwani Kumar told ANI that the decision was painful.
