Banyan Tree, 70-Years-Old, Uprooted In Storm In Telangana, Translocated After Four Months

A huge banyan tree, more than 70-years-old, which fell four months ago due to incessant rains in the Sircilla, Telangana has been saved. The 100-tonne Banyan tree has been saved due to the efforts of people. J Santosh Kumar, Rajya Sabha MP, made arrangements for the transport with the assistance of KT Rama Rao, TRS minister from Sircilla. The Banyan Tree was uprooted four months ago due to torrential rains. Kumar shared a short video clip showing the process of transporting and replanting the tree and said, “One of the most satisfying moments in my life.” Watch the video to know more.
