Calls Grow For Mos Home Ajay Mishra Teni's Resignation After SIT Findings On Lakhimpur Kheri Violence

As the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has said that the Lakhimpur Kheri incident was a planned conspiracy, calls for Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra’s removal have been growing. On December 15, senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi. TMC’s Mahua Moitra also attacked PM Modi. She tweeted, “Enough of Ganga dubkis. Get justice back on track, fire Ajay Mishra & see this to end.” AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said, “Constitutional morality demands that Mishra be removed from the council of ministers.” Meanwhile, on December 15, Ajay Mishra allegedly said that journalists are thieves. Mishra also pushed one of the journalists when they asked for his comment on the SIT findings. Ashish Mishra, son of Union Minister Ajay Mishra, has been lodged in jail since October.
