Batting first, Chennai Super Kings' innings never gained any sort of momentum as they were restricted to just 103/9 in 20 overs. Shivam Dube was CSK's top-scorer with 31* runs off 29 deliveries while Vijay Shankar hit 29 off 21. CSK kept losing wickets at regular intervals and ended up scoring their lowest total at home. For KKR, Sunil Narine was the best bowler as he picked up three wickets (3/13). Varun Chakaravarthy (2/22), Harshit Rana (2/16), Moeen Ali (1/20) and Vaibhav Arora (1/31) were amongst the wickets as well. In response, KKR got past the finish line in a hurry, taking just 10.1 overs to win the match. Sunil Narine led the charge for KKR with bat in hand, smashing 44 runs off just 18 balls while Quinton de Kock (23 off 16), Ajinkya Rahane (20* off 17) and Rinku Singh (15* off 12) made contributions. For CSK, Noor Ahmad (1/8) and Anshul Kamboj (1/19) were the wicket-takers. This was CSK's fifth straight loss in IPL 2025.
