Cyclone Biparjoy: 74,000 People Evacuated In Gujarat; Extremely Severe Cyclonic Storm To Make Landfall On June 15

Nearly 74,000ย peopleย have been shifted to safer locations inย Gujaratย asย Cycloneย Biparjoyย is expected toย makeย landfallย onย Juneย 15.ย Orange and yellow alertsย have been issued in many districts ofย Gujarat. The India Meteorological Department (IMD)ย said that theย cycloneย will have a maximum wind speed of up to 140-150 kmph. Kutch, Devbhumi Dwarka and Jamnagarย will receive extremely heavy rainfall, IMD said. Many MDRF and SDRF teams have been stationed at various locations. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh tweeted he has spoken to all the three service chiefs. IMD said theย cycloneย is likely to move northeastwards and cross Saurashtra and Kutch & adjoining Pakistan coasts. Watch the video to know more.
