Cyclone Biparjoy: 74,000 People Evacuated In Gujarat; Extremely Severe Cyclonic Storm To Make Landfall On June 15

Nearly 74,000┬аpeople┬аhave been shifted to safer locations in┬аGujarat┬аas┬аCyclone┬аBiparjoy┬аis expected to┬аmake┬аlandfall┬аon┬аJune┬а15.┬аOrange and yellow alerts┬аhave been issued in many districts of┬аGujarat. The India Meteorological Department (IMD)┬аsaid that the┬аcyclone┬аwill have a maximum wind speed of up to 140-150 kmph. Kutch, Devbhumi Dwarka and Jamnagar┬аwill receive extremely heavy rainfall, IMD said. Many MDRF and SDRF teams have been stationed at various locations. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh tweeted he has spoken to all the three service chiefs.
