On May 9, Pulitzer Prize 2022 winners in Journalism, Drama, Music & Books were announced. The winner’s list consisted of The Washington Post, including Indians Adnan Abidi, Sanna Irshad Mattoo, Amit Dave, and the late Danish Siddiqui of Reuters in Journalism. Danish Siddiqui, Reuters photographer, was posthumously awarded a Pulitzer along with Adnan Abidi, Sanna Irshad Mattoo, and Amit Dave for their photographs of Covid-19 toll on India. Danish Siddiqui was killed by Taliban in July 2021 while he was covering the war in Afghanistan.
