Devendra Fadnavis Is Deputy CM of Maharashtra, Asked to be Part of New Government by BJP Top Leaders

INDIA Team Latestly|

The culmination of the political drama that had embroiled Maharashtra’s political leadership resulted in Devendra Fadnavis of the BJP, being sworn in as the deputy chief minister. Throughout the rebellion that toppled the Uddhav Thackeray led Maha Vikas Aghadi government, Devendra Fadnavis seemed poised to become the chief minister of Maharashtra for the third time. However, once Eknath Shinde has arrived in Mumbai, and talks were held at Fadnavis’ Sagar bungalow – Fadnavis announced that Shinde would be chief minister and that he would support the new government from the ground. This was rebutted by BJP President JP Nadda who said he would request Fadnavis to be deputy to Shinde and be part of the new government.
