Multiple X accounts have claimed that Mads Mikkelsen, a 21-year-old from Norway, was deported from the US after ICE agents allegedly found a meme of Vice President JD Vance on his phone. The claim, originally reported by a British tabloid, The Daily Mail, drew a lot of reactions with netizens questioning the rationale behind deporting the Norwegian tourist. However, US Customs and Border Protection (CPB), June 24, dismissed the viral claim linking Mikkelsen's deportation to the meme. "Mads Mikkelsen was not denied entry for any memes or political reasons, it was for his admitted drug use" CPB clarified.
