Donald Trump Signs Immigration Suspension Order Amid COVID-19 Crises, Know Exemptions, Impact & More

US President Donald Trump signed an executive order to temporarily suspend approval of some green cards. This measure contains a number of exemptions and will last for 60 days and can be extended further. Trump said the decision has been taken to protect American workers’ jobs amid the coronavirus impact on the economy. “This will ensure that unemployed Americans of all backgrounds will be first in line for jobs as our economy reopens,” Trump said during Wednesday's coronavirus briefing at the White House.
