Farmers protesting against the Farm laws enacted by the Modi Government reached Jantar Mantar to lodge their opposition, as the Parliament is in session. Farmers were given permission by the Delhi police on July 21st. Farmer leaders like Rakesh Tikait reached Jantar Mantar but were surrounded by a heavy police, and CRPF presence. Before the farmers, opposition leaders like Rahul Gandhi of the Congress and CPIM’s Sitaram Yechury also protested in front of the Parliament demanding the BJP government withdraw the farm laws.
