GT vs RR IPL 2025 Stat Highlights: Sai Sudharsan, Bowlers Shine As Gujarat Titans Maintain Winning Run

Gujarat Titans defeated Rajasthan Royals by 58 runs in IPL 2025 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on April 09. Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson won the toss and opted to bowl first. Batting first on a very good pitch for batting, Titans captain Shubman Gill (2) lost his wicket to in form Jofra Archer (1/30). But Sai Sudharsan (82) remained unfazed and alongside Jos Buttler (36), he built a steady partnership. After Buttler was dismissed by Maheesh Theekshana (2/54), it looked like Royals can comeback in the game but Shahrukh Khan (36) and Sudharsan took the bowlers on and scored at a brisk rate. Royals made a comeback once again, when Theekshana dismissed Shahrukh Khan and Sandeep Sharma (1/41) scalped Sherfane Rutherford's wicket. But Rahul Tewatia (24*) carried on the momentum and by the time Tushar Deshpande (2/53) dismissed Sai Sudharsan and Rashid Khan, Titans were well ahead in the game. Tewatia powered them to a total of 217/6. Chasing it, Arshad Khan (1/19) dismissed Yashasvi Jaiswal (6) and Mohammed Siraj (1/30) scalped wicket of Nitish Rana (1). Sanju Samson (41) stitched a partnership with Riyan Parag (26) first and after the latter's dismissal, Shimron Hetmyer (52) came in powering the game forward. But Royals kept losing wickets and, in the end, got bowled out for 159. Prasidh Krishna (3/24) scalped three wickets while Rashid Khan (2/37) and Sai Kishore (2/20) scalped two. This was Gujarat Titans' fourth victory of IPL 2025 and third loss for Rajasthan Royals.
