Gujarat High Court On Interfaith Marriages: Religious Conversion Accusation Only Under Three Clauses

On August 18, the Gujarat High Court passed an interim order regarding the provisions of the Gujarat Freedom of Religion (Amendment) Act, 2021. The HC said the provisions of the act will not apply to inter-faith marriages which take place without force, allurement or fraudulent means, reported livelaw.in. The interim order was passed by the division bench of Chief Justice Vikram Nath and Justice Biren Vaishnav.
