HD Kumaraswamy-Led Congress-JDS Coalition Govt Loses Karnataka Trust Vote

The Congress-JDS coalition and Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy lost the trust vote to BJP. While 99 MLAs voted in favour of Kumaraswamy in Vidhana Soudha, 105 voted against him. The trust vote loss means that the 14-month-old HD Kumaraswamy government collapsed after a tumultuous period in office. BJP state unit chief BS Yeddyurappa is now all set to stake claim to form the government.
