On January 31, JMM leader Hemant Soren was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money laundering case. He was arrested by the probe agency after over seven hours of questioning, reported PTI. Soren was questioned on money laundering charges in an alleged land fraud case. Before his arrest, Hemant Soren submitted his resignation as Jharkhand Chief Minister to Governor CP Radhakrishnan at the Raj Bhavan. He was then taken to the ED office, reported PTI.
