On April 16, violence took place at the old Hubli police station in the Dharwad district, Karnataka. 40 people have been arrested & 12 police personnel, including an inspector, have been left injured. A mob threw stones at the police station. Reportedly, police resorted to mild lathi-charge and used tear gas shells.
