On March 1, an Indian student was killed in Shelling in Ukraine. The external affairs ministry tweeted informing about the tragic news. Naveen Shekharappa was a final year medical student from Karnataka's Haveri. 21-year-old Naveen died when Russian soldiers blew up a government building. Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to the young student’s father. Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi tweeted, “My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. I reiterate, GOI needs a strategic plan for safe evacuation.
